In a Delhi Trade Fair, a national award winning kalamkari artist who had been a part of several international trade fares, had hardly any takers for his durries. 

A Madhubani artist hadn’t made a single sale. And it was already afternoon on a busy day of the renowned Surajkund Mela.

Another national award winning Jaipuri hand block printer’s son, sold low priced bedsheets in the famed Delhi’s Dilli Haat.

All this, when it’s not unusual to see western brands embrace and proudly showcase our Handloom & Handicrafts. Looms & Clay was born out the pain of watching our craft becoming irrelevant and sidelined.
